I have no idea. I’ve made guesses.  But they’ve said the new announcer will be in place by the freeway series.

Victor Rojas was hired two months after Rory Markus died.

It's only been a couple days more than that since Rojas announced his departure.

Fair point, though I think Victor came on board earlier in Spring Training (maybe at the very beginning?).

In a fan mailbag in The Athletic today, Fabian Ardaya was asked about the PBP role and said "From what I have heard, there are still multiple external candidates in the mix in addition to the obvious internal choices. A choice is expected to be announced about a week or so before the March 28-30 exhibition series against the Dodgers."

Now I think we know who the obvious internal choices are: Trent Rush, Jose Mota, and Terry Smith. I'm really interested in who the multiple external candidates are, and I hope they go with one of them.

I think he would be a good choice, if I can't have the job.

If Smith moved to TV PBP, I think he'd have a good chance at being Terry's replacement on the radio side.
