And the season proved them wrong.

Haha, ok.  If good deals were about the first year, then I guess Upton was a pretty good signing and we showed everyone else how wrong they were for not signing him.  I mean he was a 3.5 WAR player and only made $15 million.  It takes more than the first year of a deal to know whether or not it is a good deal, especially a 60 game season.

You look at Musgroves' stuff and think theres is no way this guy isn't a frontline pitcher at some point in his career. Hopefully his price tag isn't too high since he was flat out dominant to close out the season (21 K's in 13.0 shutout innings with only 2 walks).

Used to say the same about Richards, and to be fair, before injury, he was an ace.

This is a great list, well done

Musgrove would be a great add

Gallen would be INSANE. That's someone I'd trade Adell and several other core pieces for

In terms of Rockies pitchers Marquez has been tremendous outside of Coors

Thank you. I think for Musgrove, I'd try something along the lines of Jeremiah Jackson, Matt Thaiss and a lotto ticket like Stiward Aquino. Not sure if that would get it done or not, but that's what I think fair market value would be. A starting corner infielder, a future starting middle infielder and a future reliever that will likely reach triple digits at some point.

Yes, I would trade Adell for Gallen, but it almost certainly would cost more than that.

@Dochalo mentioned Marquez, and I think if Colorado wanted to sell high on him they could, but that organization always needs pitching and we just don't have the pieces that would interest them. They already have a ton of position players in their ranks. That's why I thought Gray might be the better take l target. Buy low on him and see what happens.

I think it's going to be next to impossible to pry Gallen or Marquez away from their respective teams.  It will take an overwhelming offer to get either of those guys.  Like Adell, Detmers, Jackson and probably another pitcher.

If you could get either one for Adell plus a bunch of lesser guys then it would be a coup.

I like Musgrove a lot.  Would love to get someone with another year of control though.

Haha, ok.  That has nothing to do with what I wrote.
