Only concern is if some players say it isn’t worth playing for 1/3 salary and opt to sit out. Wouldn’t be shocked if someone like Trout did since his kid is coming mid season.

Not to mention that having unhappy players might make for a not so fun season.

When is the kid due? It seems likely that the 50 games will be at the back of the scheduled season.

Current MLB. If the owners say see you in March 2021, does that mean anyone that has an expiring contract can start negotiating as a Free Agent?  For example Andrelton Simmons.

They want as short a season as possible in order to get that sweet sweet playoff TV money.   So, whatever the minimum number of games they need to trigger the national TV revenue.

The owners are trying to make money not lose it. I would not be surprised if we see more than the 48 games.

85% of the media is on their knees for the players.  Most of the top media is just reporting. Rosenthal. Sherman. Pass an. Nice to see.

When they always offered an unrealistic number of games and never moved an inch.
