America would be a better place if we had more billionaires. If you don't like rich people, the world is full of countries with a booming poor population. The only rich are government officials but you will never have to meet a billionaire. Many are very green and eco friendly. Some have enough shit on the ground you will swear it is San Fran.

Recessions are a part of an economic cycle and no matter who is in office, controls congress or the senate the next recession is inevitable.  What scares me isn't a recession it's the government thinking an appropriate response to a recession is stimulus, i.e. more debt for future generations to pay off.  There was no real justification for the fed lowering already ridiculously low rates last week and taxpayers should not be bailing out airlines, cruise companies, etc.

A lot of factors going on.  Most of the places with a better standard of living are mostly homogeneous and extremely smaller and easier to manage.

There is a lot to it but I don’t think the that diversity has anything that to to with it.  And this is the wealthiest country in the history of the world.  We have greater technology then ever.  Much can be done.  We have plutocracy and corporatism that is completely unchecked.  We have an insane culture of greed and individualism.  We’re gonna see it laid bare and hideous here soon if this stuff with the virus gets bad.

We could definitely save some money and quit defending the rest of the world. Lot of waste in the military and all departments of government. Being unable to defend your belongings and land had never been a sound strategy on the playground or for a nation/kingdom. Give your theory a test. Grab all your money and nicest clothes then go visit your local projects unarmed every night for a month.

I truly fail to understand what obstacle diversity of cultures presents to creating national health care.   Or deploying resources into building out new infrastructure.  
 

like what exactly does the United States do to manage various cultures now that makes expanding the social safety net so complex  ? We have a school system that is fairly good at assimilating people within a generation or 2.  Beyond that, I really am trying ton understand what you’re talking about.  This is primarily an issue of political will and resource allocation.
