The Dems feel Trump is using his power of office to get help from foreign countries to help him win his election. That's what this boils down to. And that is very much impeachable.

He may have been using his powers to investigate the wrong doings of Biden and his son. You're glossing over the fact that Biden was using his power to do the same thing as Vice President. I still don't think withholding aid to a foreign country is impeachable.

You know darn well that "laws being broken" isn't required for impeachment. He is being accused of abuses of power.

He pressured a foriegn government to get dirt on a political opponent. To essentially influence our election. He circumvented our official foreign policy, implemented his own shadow policy, and used the resources of the state department to further his personal objectives.

Anyway I don't see this impeachment circus really going anywhere. Schiff will have his time in front of the cameras and Trump will tweet. It's all one big show.

I'm predicting it will help Trump in the next election though. There's a lot of time left but as of right now I don't see anyone beating him next November.

No Biden did what he did on behalf of the president and all the members of the EU and the Ukrainian parliament via the official channels and in public to get a corrupt prosecutor fired who was NOT investigating the company Biden's son was on. Trump did it on behalf of himself to get dirt on his political rival, not via the official channels, in secrecy, and tried to cover it up.

Clinton’s was in the middle of his second term with regards to impeachment.

I have no idea if it really played a part but the fact he wasn’t impeached might have played a role in Gore’s defeat.
