Ha, Jordany Valdespin is still in organized baseball.

I just went to the Mexican Leagues to see who was still kicking around and was surprised to see 35-year old ERICK AYBAR rocking a .907 OPS.

K-Rod’s on the same team. Salas too.

I recall a certain poster (Angel Graffiti) way back in the day completely convinced Eric Aybar would be the greatest SS in Angel history, and absolutely mocking other posters that thought Elvis Andrus could have a better career.

I am curious to see a list of all time great shortstops in Franchise history.   I know Aybar doesnt rank up to Fregosi and of course Simmons.  Who else is clearly better than Aybar?  Eckstein?  Cabrera?

Since the 70s I cant think of that many

Fun fact, Erick Aybar was once #39 on BA’s Top 100 prospect list, going into 2005, and placed #46 and #61 the following two seasons.
