These mass shootings are (and have been) common enough for several years that trying to pin any of them on trump or anyone else is misleading. This problem has roots far deeper than someone’s antagonistic words.

If you wonder why I say that Republicans are in the hip pocket of the NRA, here is a list of the 85 members of Congress who have received the most contributions from the NRA (this isn't lobbying money, just campaign contributions). Of that total. 82 are Republicans. The three Democrats all appear near the bottom of the last page. The late Senator John McCain appears on this list.
