Thor's peripherals are decent, not great, these past two seasons.   WHIP of over 1.20, and this season has allowed more HRs than in the past, plus the Ks aren't overwhelming.    And of course, the innings pitched was way down in 2017 and even somewhat in 2018.   Health is maybe a question mark? 

Also remember that Citi Field is very pitching field.   It's nucking futs how many HRs Alonso has hit, given that, although slumping recently.

Impression is that trading for Noah Syndergaard would require a top 30 prospect and a couple of other solid pieces, one rival exec said earlier today.

My guess is Astros or Padres. Astros love those strikeout pitchers to work their magic on, and Padres have the talent to trade and are being aggressive. Having three catchers to shop is always extremely valuable.
