Pujols not retiring

I know a lot of people were hoping Pujols would announce his retirement during this series in St. Loius. Unfortunately, he didn't. In fact, he actually did the opposite by expressing his intention to keep playing until his contract ends. In tonight's post-game interview, when asked about playing in St. Louis again, he said “yeah it's going to be the last time I play here unless we play each other in the world series this year or in the next few years that I'm playing" 

Sounds like he has zero intention of retiring before that contract ends. 

Bummer. Was hoping he'd retire soon

.844 OPS prior 30 games, coming into tonight, probably has a lot to do with it too.

First 30, .754 OPS, followed by a 0-13 3-game span. After that, .844 OPS is 30 games. He also hasn’t DHed in over a month, since May 12.

Bert’s having a good year, and a legit rebound campaign. Let’s just enjoy it?

Thaiss? How about Angels move La Stella over to 1B like how the Angels originally planned for him to do. There are literally so many better options than Pujols if he were to retire
