What happened to that team that swept the brewers?

gotta hope this is Eppler/Ausmus giving some players their last chances in the coming next couple weeks

The only way players are getting their last chances is if we have other options that are ready, and not simply better than Cozart or Bourjos but actually ready where it doesn’t stunt their development.  When Upton comes back Bourjos is gone, maybe Stratton is shown the door, when Skaggs and Heaney are back.  It’s easy to say DFA Cozart but if you hand the job to any of the rookies they have to play every day.  So if they aren’t ready and it actually hurts their development do you just send them back down and call up the next guy?  Some might want Ward to come up and play 3rd everyday but damn his defense is fucking awful and soon we will be looking to replace him.   Maybe it’s as simple as waiting for Upton, moving Fletcher to full time third, La Stella gets the most starts at 2nd and Cozart is the spot starter all around the infield.

Isn’t there someone in AAA who’s not a top 20 prospect, who could take Bourjos’ 4th OF spot?   That way, stunting the development of a key prospect isn’t an issue.

At the least, give Goodwin 80% of the LF starts, so that Bourjos sees limited time in the meantime?

A .222 OPS and poor base stealing skills for a speed guy is no way to go through life, son.

Even the following lefties could shut this team down at their current ages.

Sandy Koufax

Claude Osteen

Clyde Wright

Jaime Moyer

Is this issues with lefties a mental issue by now?

this reminds me of last night's broadcast. that was excruciatingly painful.
