It's funny how often some of you want to make whole sale changes on this team in the course of a season.

Yea get rid of the injured pitchers, call up the guys that might be ready, then if any or all of those guys get hurt call up the next group, that certainly isn’t ready.

And trade the guys who are sucking for all-stars.

dude pitched through an injury last year and got grief for being less effective.

he gave up 3 hrs in his last start at wrigley with the wind blowing out.

now on the IL and likely to miss 1 start because the Halos needed a roster spot with 14 games in a row coming up.

btw, this scenario is exactly why the 10d IL exists.  So a pitcher doesn't have to sit around clogging up a spot when you know they're going to miss one start but you don't think they'll miss two.

and this is the final straw to want to 'move on' from half the rotation?  seems reasonable.

There's a ton of evidence out there that says he can't pitch more than 120-130 innings in a season. Maybe he'll get lucky one year and have a career year in terms of his health, but would you bet on it?

What has Justin Anderson done to piss off the club? Why call up Curtiss instead?

Could be they want a first-hand look at the big-league level on whatever Curtiss was tasked on working with in SLC. His spot on the 40-man could be in jeopardy if we want to promote Canning, Rojas, or Walsh in the short-term future.

Curtiss wasn't recalled due to injury.  Barria was.  Have to keep Anderson down for the full 10 days or unless someone else gets injured.

Stop doing that.  Stop posting things that are contrary to the narrative.

There’s even more evidence we don’t have the pieces to replace him along with other injuries that come up throughout a baseball season.

no.  and neither did the halos which his why they've got a bunch of depth.

Let Tyler throw 130 solid innings while he's still fairly cheap.

Tyler Skaggs has never pitched close to a complete season, ever.

Tyler's Skaggs has never compiled an ERA under 4.0, ever.

Tyler Skaggs is one of those Saber guy's pitchers that they keep pointing to peripherals but in the end he never pitches to those stats.

Tyler Skaggs is a crap ton of wasted energy.

I will not miss him when he moves on, like Richards.

I don't buy the idea that 130 innings at a 4.0-4.3 ERA is solid. And I question the idea that he's capable of more than that with the velocity drop

Hell, at least Richards was undeniably good when he pitched....

He was about to win a cy young and then broke his leg in Boston.

Richards was a hell of a lot better than Skaggs. I wish him the best in his recovery in San Diego. Not a bad place to land. They’re definitely trending up
