Re-signing both Trout and Simba is the prudent thing to do.   Do that, and fill in around them with Ohtani, Upton, Heaney, Skaggs, and the many young players now coming through the farm system and strategic acquisitions that don’t cost many prospects or $200-$300 million on someone else’s player.
