Hard to really care at all about this.  Shoemaker has barely pitched in the last 36 months.  I have plenty of doubts about his ability to pitch at all at this point.  Regardless of simulated games or whatever.

Our starting pitcher's name sounds like something you see in a commercial with happy people playing croquet, that tells you to see your doctor about a nice sounding prescription that has two dozen side effects, of which three could cause heart failure, kidney failure or an appendage growing out of the side of your head, but you never really hear it's for curing Odrisamer Despaigne.

I take this the complete opposite way. With how hard the man worked to actually get to the majors, then to have two injuries that are more 'Freak' injuries than just the usual wear and tear issue, it makes me MORE keen to see the guy make it back. Regardless of success

I’m not rooting against the guy.  I just don’t give a shit.  The Angels shouldn’t anticipate being able to count on Matt Shoemaker.  A lot of these pitchers the Angels just have to move on from.  They’re broken.  It’s never going to work.  That’s it.
