The Kinsler and Maldonado trades were just classic Eppler thus far. 

Two late inning arms and what looks to be a solid #2/#3 starter in Sandoval. 

Super stoked!

This is the first year that's Eppler's stockpiling of stopgaps paid off. I think he's long planned to use acquired pending FAs as a way to replenish the farm, but those players just didn't pan out the first two deadlines.

Yeah seriously. If Jerez and Buttrey turn into absolute studs in the pen (Jerez in particular has looked filthy so far), plus Sandoval can be a mid rotation or better starter...all for Kinsler and Maldonado? Those are a couple of trades for the history books.

He was the more major-league ready between him and Jerez so I'm excited to see what he can do. Hopefully BUTTrey can be a valuable piece to the BACKEND of the bullpen.
