5.0 near the Channel Islands. 20 minutes ago, more or less.

I didn't feel a thing in Long Beach.

Felt it in Irvine but being on a higher floor may have contributed to that.

Solid jolt here in Thousand Oaks. I'm probably the closest to it out of anyone on here. Nothing crazy though.

What's nice is the warning system at Caltech worked, although it only gave a 5-second heads up. They're continually working to develop a decent system and admitted they have a ways to go. But, progress.

Imagine if we spent a few billion on a warning system, heck, even a few millions, instead of a choo choo.

I do believe that my old elementary school desk would have shielded me from a nuclear blast.  It's not made of that cheap sythetic wood made in China stuff of today.   I also think that desk probably exposed me to plenty of toxins in the paint and metal that would make coffee blush.

Didn't feel it at all on the westside.  

News reports say by Mt. Gregornio.   So anytime a quake hits near San Andreas, The Rock gets ready.  Hopefully its not a prequake.

i was actually up and reading on my laptop when it happened at 4:50am. i bought a new bed that has a remote and does the adjustable and massage/vibrate stuff. i thought i accidentally hit the remote then realized it was an earthquake. business as usual out here.

kind of a quick but big jolt and i think a pause and minor tremor.

Just a 5 seconds thingy for me, only 1-2 seconds of which a solid jolt

Basically like the punch shown by both Pacquiao and Mayweather in their boring fight three years ago

Yeah. Not only did I sleep through it, but it was a cool, cloudy morning here in Bixby Knolls.
