blackblaze actually released their stats and said that the HGST(formally hitachi or seagate, i forget which) drives have the best failure rates.

Anyway, that is why I run raid 1+0, full redundancy

yep...that's why I'm trying to make sure I clean up all the backup jobs...amazing how much duplicated data I had on various drives...and lots of it out of date.

on that note...Beyond Compare is a fabulous utility for doing diff comparisons on drives and files.
