We were on our way to the Winnetka parade about 10 miles south.  It was cancelled.  Then the aquatic center in Wilmette we were going to was shut down and all public north suburb beaches were shut down.  So we just came back to the city.  They haven’t closed anything.  They don’t care.

Crazy how a random shooter picks a random area that obviously had no security plan. Law enforcement conveniently left the high ground unsecured.

Truth be told from riots to mass shootings a significant percentage of these so called random acts likely have government officials aiding in the planning and coordination. It’s highly unlikely leadership made such a poor security decision. This shooter had inside knowledge of security and was able to plan accordingly
