Wow, worse than I imagined.  Anyone still out there doubting the Halos have MAJOR issues with pitching that will keep out of the post season this year?!?

A staff that walks a ton of hitters, gives up a ton of hits, doesn't strike anybody out, it's incredible how they excel at everything you don't want a pitcher to do.

I can see the rotation getting better. This will by no means be a solid rotation but I think they could be somewhere around "slightly below average" once Weaver comes back.

 

The bullpen on the other hand, is a disgusting piece of sh*t. There are no clean peanuts. Just one giant, solid hunk of waste matter. That HAS to be the number 1 priority next offseason.

just awful. i agree with those who think there is an indictment of scioscia and the coaching staff to be had here. this team is unprepared to play in any facet of the game. it's mind numbing.

Did the coaching staff bring in the National League 5era Joe Blanton and the National League 5era Tommy Hanson to be the heart of the rotation? You realize a 5era in the national league = 6 something in the American League = you don't win many games. I do not see the Angels pitching getting better, it is what it is. Tommy Hanson and Joe Blanton are not underperforming, they are performing exactly as expected so enjoy the ride.
