With K-State's best player at way less than 100%, and with UCI's defense, rebounding, and recent shooting% breakout, this could easily become a 13 seed upset over the 4 seed.

This is, by far, the worst Pac-10/12 season I can ever remember. 

 

Only one PAC-12 team made it in 2012, the PAC-12 tournament champ in newcomer Colorado.    Even regular season champ U-Dub didn't get in.

And even though I put my bracket in the wrong group, I nailed picking the 13 seed UCI over the 4 seed K-State, 70-64 final in favor of UCI. 

Evan Leonard and Walt Hazzard's grandson Max each had 19 pts. for UCI.

Second Big West Conference round of 64 NCAAT game win in the past 14 years, joining the 13 seed Hawaii over the 4 seed Cal in 2016, granted both wins were aided by a key opposing player missing the game.
