So, Texas and Long Beach play today to see who gets to play Fullerton in the supers?

Yep

It's essentially Texas' #4 starter (midweek guy) vs LB's #5 starter (if such a thing).    All hands on deck to the mound for both teams, aside from the starters the past 2 days

Fullerton is licking its' chops, having played just 3 games (no extra innings).   I had an inkling that they might find a way to Omaha, as with Eastman back they now have three VERY GOOD starters.

I am really excited about the Beach doing well.  Very fired up.

The actual sitting down and watching the games is a tad tougher to do.

Seems like most college baseball games are super low scoring. It is really difficult to nut a baseball with the bats they have to use these days.

I would tend to agree.  But if your six year old loves baseball, and yells out "BROCK LUNDQUIST!!!!" every time this guy came to bat...it makes it more exciting.  Plus they all are growing rally mustaches!  And Marine Layer talk!

Dodged that one. Gators win 6-1. I'm guessing Super Regional with Florida State, like last season - provided that FSU beats Auburn.

ha. they would never do that.

the gators get to battle Sam Houston State

One thing about Florida: Unlike a lot of other states, you don't get crossover fans who root for multiple teams. You're a Gator, a Nole or a Cane, and never the twain shall meet.

The ironic thing is that I very nearly went to Miami. Was offered an academic scholarship there.

Why is that ironic?
