Orange County Register: Angels Tyler Skaggs, C.J. Wilson to have tests on Monday

Recommended Posts

If and when Wilson and Skaggs get healthy enough to join the rotation, it's gonna be very interesting as to whom they replace.  A lot can happen in a month, but it seems moving Shoe down will be obvious.  Otherwise, it's gonna be between Trop, Weaver, and Chacin.  You better batten down the servers for that one Chuck.

I missed the game on Saturday. How did Chacin look? HIs box looks good, but how did he actually look on the mound?

from the first few inning that I saw, he was totally in control and made one bad pitch to Lind.  Trout actually had a decent shot at robbing him but got there a shade late because of a bad route.  Would have been an amazing catch though.

But Chacin looked more like a starting pitcher that anyone we've had tow the mound in weeks.

I don't think anyone is in position to complain about getting bumped from the rotation right now.

Chacin had a good control of his pitch count unlike the other 20+ pitches per inning clowns that have taken the mound the last month. Yeah, I'm bitter but when you watch 0-2 counts run to walks because they are not able to toss that third strike you get a little bitter.

Today, Santiago starts off using 16 pitches to get out of the first. Irritating.

And then pitched seven more innings.

It won't be Santiago or Chacin, and it shouldn't be Tropeano. Shoemaker will go, but its hard imagining Sosh benching Weaver...yet. Maybe mystery injury to see how Skaggs and Wilson do. Or maybe by then Weaver will have entirely imploded, and the decision will be easier.
