It's been great as of late. Smith has been the worst pitcher which is unfortunate but tells you how great the other guys have been. Even with some roug starting pitching we have stayed in the game. If only the god damn offense would pick it up and win us a few games

I like how Scioscia starts Shane Robinson the first day he gets moved up...gets 2 hits...runs the bases "The Angels Way"...scores 2 runs...Haven't seen him since.

Good Ol' Scioscia - He really know how to play the "hot hand" - yet keeps Albert in Clean Up.

Scioscia is simply horrid...whereas Joe Maddon sent the Rays to the World Series and the Cubbies are the best team in baseball...and Scioscia's "platooning" never allows players to keep hot...and stay in rhythm.

This is the same dinosaur manager who took nearly two months to figure out what was obvious to many fans and posters on this board that Calhoun should be an everyday player in the lineup and not platooning with Colin Cowgill (aka Peter Dinklage's stunt double).

Guerra and Bedrosian have always had the potential to be great, just had separate issues to deal with. If this is a sign of things to come, a bullpen core of Mahle, Bedrosian, Morin, Guerra, and Street (when healthy) is a pretty nice place to start. Smith and Salas are free agents at the end of the year, might make sense to package them with other pieces (Nava if he's producing somewhat, ditto with Soto. Escobar is another guy that could get a nice prospect or two back). Heck, if Street's healthy, you could even consider trading him. Sign Jansen or Chapman in the offseason.

We just scored five runs in a three-game series. With that kind of production, almost every pitcher on your staff has to have shutdown stuff to even remain competitive.

What I said at the beginning of the season has been exactly what we have seen so far. With no offense, pitching hardly matters. We aren't going to win many 2-1 or 1-0 games. The failure to address offensive production will be this team's undoing. One of the strongest free agent classes in history just went past with us doing nothing.

Remember when everyone was saying how amazing our offensive depth was going to be this year? yea about that..

The bullpen and Escobar/Calhoun/Trout have pretty much been the bright spots in 2016.

What will the bullpen look like by July 1?

Maybe Street, Guerra, Morin, Salas, Bedrock Jr., Smith, and Mahle?   Smith has not been good so far.   Alvarez may need to be stretched to starting at this rate.
