I was going to say - probably more than half of the people on this board would show mild degenerative spinal changes. Weaver's is accelerated because he is in a profession that puts a lot of stress on the spine. This isn't exactly a surprise, and it doesn't necessarily explain the marked drop in velocity. If it is causing nerve irritation, it might have some impact.
