Trout now at a .299 average and .401 OBP. The MVP voters will be much more likely of voting for him if he has a .300 average/.400 OBP/.1000 OPS and 40+ HRs.

Donaldson has been awesome and would be hard to argue with if he wins, but the idea of an elite defensive CF not winning the MVP with a .300 avg, .400 OBP, 1.000 OPS and at least 41 homers seems absurd.

Yeah, it doesn't make any sense to remove him in the 7th inning, knowing that he would have another at-bat guaranteed. And now the A's are threatening with the bases loaded and only two runs behind.
