I'm finding that Mark Langston makes the show far more listenable this year. What do you guys think?

No, I mean Mark Langston interacting with the callers.

I do think Langston improves the game broadcasts as well.

Then again, when one is contemplating mass quantities of Guinness to dull the pain of 4-9, every name ending in z sounds the same.

I haven't listened to Angels talk after the past 4 or 5 games. I didn't know Langston was doing "Angels Talk". I imagine he's more interesting than T. Smith on "Angels Talk".

I always feel sorry for Terry doing that program.  Even if he gets any extra pay for it, it isn't worth it. 

 

However, I love it when they throw in a kid call to give him a break.  "Hi, I'm nine years old and I think Mike Trout is the best!"

I kind of got burned out with the long winded calls from "Greg from Ventura" and "Dick from Whittier" a few years ago, but have not noticed them this year.

Maybe that means they "found" each other, and are on the phone with one another right now, probably both talking at the same time.

In high school, my buddies and I would troll Angel talk on the way home from games. It was fun getting Terry all worked up.

I've actually googled that, and all I found was a reference from a different Mel (from Fullerton) from 2009 on the official board, that Mel from Diamond Bar apparently moved East and stopped calling. If I remember correctly, he did have a New York accent.

Mark Langston looks lie some sort of mannequin. Freaky Botox and hair dye.

He'd still look super young for his age if he didn't go there.

That said, I liked it when he would commentate for the mariners a coupe times a year

Me and a buddy did this a couple of years ago.  Asked what Sexy Rexy was up to and demanded that Brandon Wood get more playing time (he was playing like dog shit).
