I like the lineup and I wish it didn't take Pujols to get hurt to change this. The only change I would make is this.

Going forward, after Albert is back I'd like to see this.

Pujols (He needs to start swinging the bat as he's wasting too many RBI opportunities)

Iannetta (FREE CARLOS PEREZ). Until Iannetta starts hitting he needs to bat last and hopefully he'll at least start taking a walk rather than trying to hit his way out of this awful slump.

Man, we really need a legit lead-off hitter so Calhoun and Trout can be in a position to drive in runs from the 3 and 4 slot (even when Pujols gets back).  If Johnny can just maintain a .340 - .350 OBP, he could be an ideal 2-hitter but still need the lead-off guy to make that happen...which isn't Aybar.

We try the Aybar at leadoff experiment pretty much every year and its never worked before... so let's do it again!

He's going to look exhausted at the game today from being up all night. Maybe he'll go totally off the rails and forget that Salas is his fav 7th inning guy.

We try the Aybar at leadoff experiment pretty much every year and its never worked before... so let's do it again!

 

 

His overall career numbers are .276/.317/.381.  So, basically, he doesn't hit any differently in the leadoff position than he does overall.
