It's being rumored that the M's turned down a trade proposal from Nats that would have sent Walker and Miller to the Nats for Jordan Zimmermann and Ian Desmond.

Personally I'm happy they turned that down.

the deal was for walker and miller, so that's 10 years of club control.

i'm glad z didn't do this, too.

Could of offered them a QO at the end of the year if you couldn't sign them to an extension.

Yeah. Desmond and Zimm for Walker and Miller would have been the most boneheaded move Jack Z would have ever made.

 

Hell. Brad Miller could turn into Desmond ... why do you think the Nats wanted him? Look at both of their full seasons in the MLB and their minor league numbers ...
