Whatever the format, gotta speed the game up.  Between pitcher-catcher sign language and batting glove foreplay, short naps are possible.  3.5hr games with 45min of actual baseball.   Time clock on pitch, batter doesn't leave box.  Intentional walks, no pitches.  2 visits to the mound/pitcher by anyone incl the catcher, except for injury.

Dump the ASG, but if you must keep it, dump the silly home field deal.  Home field = best record.

League & WS: 3-2-2, best reg season record should mean something.

have you watched any of the AFL pace of game experiments so far? They've implemented some of this (but still grant time out to the batters way too often) -- including clocks on pitcher, clocks on break between innings, stipulation batters must remain in batters box (too may exceptions), and a limit on in-game meetings at the mound.

They've cut about 15 mins of gametime on average.

You can't compare total number of wins to determine home field advantage between teams that play in completely different leagues. For WS home field advantage should be best head to head record (if teams faced each other in inter-league) or best record against common opponents.

3 - 2 - 2???

One team gets 5 out of the 7 games with home field advantage?
