guys, it's been 1 start for Blanton - in a day game, in a hitter's park, against a good offense that was due.  And he's given up 4 ER in 5 innings - not good, but not a blowout either.  He is what he is, and he will be fine.

i don't mind necessarily, I just think the posts about what an awful signing it was are a little silly, given that we are in the third game of the season.  If Blanton had only given up 1 or 2 runs, those same people would have been saying what a solid signing Blanton was.  Bottom line, it's 1 start.

 

and for the record, I hated the Blanton signing at the time.  But I think he could prove to be very useful for us.
