This is a playoff preview.  He better be able to get good offensive teams out or the Angels have no chance.

 

His stuff hasn't looked great today.  He has been lights out for a while now.  Every once in a while a good pitcher has a bad game.  Its not like he is hitting all his marks and they are still working him.  He was still able to close out that inning.  Richards is legit. He has done well against the White Sox and the Blue Jays, the # 8 and #5 scoring offenses in the MLB.

Richards is good, but dude needs to adjust against good teams. He's looked like crap against pretty much any good team he has faced.

 

He's given up 4+ ERs only 4 times this year. Twice against A's, Houston, and now Tigers. He's look good against M's, Nats, Yanks (at NY), Royals, Jays, and 1 of the A's games.

Scherzer tends to get stronger late in the game. That doesn't bode well for us.

 

He does have 92 pitches thru six innings, though.
