Ok I still hate it. But, trying to consider this:

Alvarez - almost certainly the real deal, but giving up a reliever in a trade is hard to really get TOO upset over.

Rondon - good defense at short, yes. Are we sure that the bat is not a little bit of a mirage, though. So far he had a good season in rookie ball (any good prospect does) and is putting up strong stats in A ball, which we continually get told not to overreact to. And as far as speed goes, his 8 SB have come with 6 CS.

Lindsey - our best organizational depth. Questionable defensively, and questionable plate discipline. Real power though (17 HR in that park in AA is no joke).

They did give up a lot, but to be fair Street has been lights out this year. 1.09 ERA and a .758 WHIP.

For the rest of this season. This bullpen is going to need to be rebuilt AGAIN this offseason and there's now less to do that with.
