Or one, possibly two. Closers aren't perfect and Frieri isn't good, but he hasn't cost this team 3 wins this season. If he has then I guess you could say he cost us three, but if you look at closers averages, most have blown a save or two already this year, and most have a loss or two.

The teams in the 90s had plenty of guys that were totally worthless, but most of the teams were too.

I usually go with the 2000 era tandem of Tim Belcher and Ken Hill.

 

There was nothing worse than getting tickets, fighting traffic, grabbing hot dogs for the kids, and sitting down in the bottom of the first, behind 5-0.
