Troy Tulo is better than Trout.

Recommended Posts

All great points doc.

Just to add, I'm pretty sure Trout could play any freakin' position besides pitcher on the field and be great at it, not to mention SS. Second, I would like to see Troy try to rob a couple home runs, turn a couple doubles into triples, then we'll discuss what kind of value he adds gobbling up routine ground balls at short. To me WAR is not the end all be all, but it is a great tool that I believe accurately assesses a value based on a fair variety of statistics.

The writer is out of his mind. MVP voters are out of their minds. Trouts slumping for 11 games, but since he's been in the bigs he's the most natural all around talented player I've seen in a long time.

No.

As a fellow Dirtbag, I'm comfortable saying Tulo is not better than Trout.

He's having a great season so far, and we're all thrilled over at Blair Field. He's the best infielder right now.

Imagine have a left side of a college IF in 2005 that consisted of Evan Longoria AND Tulo.

Two of the FIVE most sought after MLB position players three years ago, BOTH in the same college IF at LB State?

Add to that a year earlier in 2004 a pitcher who would become one of the most sought after MLB pitchers three years ago in Weave, PLUS Jason Vargas, and that = one talented college program in the mid 2000s at LB.

I agree that Trout is more athletic, but to assume he'd be better defensively than Tulo is crazy. If you can play Short you can play anywhere on the field. Tulo would be as good as Trout in RF because his arm is filthy. Tulo would be better at SS, 3rd and 2nd.

tulo is having a tremendous season so far. He's just not better than trout.

So far this season he's head and shoulders better than Trout but there's a long long way to go.

It wouldn't surprise me to see MC win MVP again. Tigers are looking like the best team in baseball thus far this season.
