First base currently offers the lowest prospect ranking among the positions, with the Astros' Jonathan Singleton the lone member of this Top 10 who was able to crack MLB.com's overall Top 100. But once he establishes himself in full-season ball this year, Mets 2013 first-round pick Dominic Smith could jump to the top of the list.

Continually one of the top ranked 1B prospects in the game.  Every scout raves about his raw power and note his ability to hit for average.  All torn down by pessimistic fans.  He's 1/3 of the reason why the Angels could absorb trading Trumbo away.  The other 2/3 are Kole Calhoun and Tyler Skaggs/Hector Santiago.
