There were charges for involuntary manslaughter. I don't see how they could be not guilty on all charges. No way they weren't at least guilty if that.

In reality they murdered the guy. They didn't try to but they still did. Unbelievable.

UnF-nbelievable.  I didn't follow it close enough to know his father was a Police officer.  He just spoke.  Strange when the father said the DOJ informed him they'd step in regardless of the outcome.

The problem is that many from Orange County worship the police, no matter how badly they behave.  There's idiots out there who still think Mike Carona was a good sheriff, and are totally unaware he is a serving a prison sentence in Colorado.

The jury loved Barnett. He's a showman. The DA was not as exciting. That's about the size of it.

Ron Thomas told John and Ken on KFI that he's going to bury his own father, who just died, this Friday. Horrible week for the poor man.

What the hell is wrong with people?! Where do they find these juries?! 

 

They use psychologists and sociologists to help them select jurors.  In this case, prospective jurors were given several pages of questions which were closely scrutinized before jury selection. 

 

What gets me is that not even one juror held out.  I think it speaks to a bigger problem such that people succumb to peer pressure increasingly easy these days.  Terrified of standing alone.

Our justice system is a complete and total fail.  It is like opposite man.

 

If anyone can watch that video and not completely understand that guy was murdered then they are fit to serve on a jury.

As a defender of cops usually, this sickens me. To hear him calling out for his dad almost brings me to tears. Being the father of an 11 month old, I can't imagine losing my son in such a senseless way.
