I thought I was the only one that didn't get any of these!!! Shucks, I must have poor relatives all over the world, since nobody wants to give me hundreds of thousands(or Millions) of dollars!!!

From what I have read on their facebook page, their landlord wanted to raise their rent $15000 a month, and that was not affordable. If the rent had stayed the same, they would have stayed open. Food there was ok, but the service SUCKED, and there was nothing around there other than the stadium...

I have been reading this thread just to see what was going on -- I saw a LOT of Register subscribers this year with their free ticket vouchers-- and never said anything, but I noticed something this morning when I went to my Walgreens--- They had NO OC Register newspapers! So I went and drove by McDonalds, since that was the only other "newsbox" I could think of, and IT was empty, too!!! How do they expect to stay in business if there's no newspapers to buy???

What pisses me off about the panhandlers is the ones that CLAIM they are DISABLED VETERANS. Ok, if you're disabled, and you are a veteran, the VA will put you in housing and feed you and get you job training, etc., so I'm already pretty sure you're sprouting crap to begin with. There's one that was on the median right at the 5 and Brookhurst where you turn to get on the 5 South. I saw him there EVERY day. One day, I was feeling generous, and I had $5 in my hand and I opened my window, and asked what unit he was in and where he had been stationed. He told me he was in the ARMY, but then wouldn't tell me what bases he had been at, what unit, NOR would he tell me his MOS (military job). When you can't tell me that (EVERY vet I know of is proud of their service, and will tell you at LEAST what unit they were in!!) I knew he was lying. I called him on it, and told him if I saw him again and he couldn't or wouldn't prove that he was REALLY a veteran, I would make sure to tell the people at the VA so that they could start the process for "stolen valor" which, actually, can put him in jail.. He hasn't used that sign since.

A friend of mine has been a Lifelock customer for a while. And she's only had ONE problem, but it's happened TWICE. Someone used her SSN to get medical care at a hospital!!! Lifelock wouldn't do anything to help her with either of those situations, either. Said that's not covered.

I just spoke to Mike on the phone. He has been released from the hospital and will be starting chemo and radiation. He will be coming by this thread tomorrow if at all possible to post himself, but I wanted to inform you all of the latest and that he is no longer in the hospital...

Check with her doctor. The doc can sign a note that due to whatever medical condition, she shouldn't drive. We had to do that for my father in law. He scared all of us, and nobody would drive with him.

PercySquint (Mike) is currently in the hospital. He was diagnosed with Stage 3 lung cancer. I don't know more than this, but plan on going to see him on Thursday when I have a day off. Will post more when I know more. patti

My husband owns about 10 guitars. At least, that's how many are in my house currently. I honestly couldn't tell you which one is which, but I do know how to string them and tune them!! LOL Of course, he can take them apart and fix them, and all the electronic parts and all the frets, etc.. And I have amps.. and pedals... and pickups... and more crap than I know what to do with.. He kept threatening me that he wants this guitar, or that guitar, and now that he's stopped working on the road, I don't hear it as often!! But I have to admit, it IS fun going to NAMM every year!!

I gave her information for Legal Aid to see about a referral. I don't know what she's doing, as I have not heard from her today, but both Serv Pro and the Insurance Company were supposed to go to her house and look at the work together today. Thanks for all the help.

The original damage was about $10K.. She's already contacted her insurance company and spoke with a supervisor AND a manager. Both the insurance company and the repair company are giving her the run around.. But this is the best advice I've gotten here so far.. I told her to check her policy and see if she is required to go thru mediation first, so I will see what she says tomorrow.

She needs to file a lawsuit against Serv Pro --who was RECOMMENDED to her by her insurance company!!-- and who has RUINED her kitchen and completely screwed up repairs..
