  1. We have iTunes on the pc laptop.. I was just mostly concerned that I couldn't transfer cause he put them on the external with the Mac.. This is all music that he has here on cd or album. We have a record player that will connect to a laptop and make mp3s, so he put A LOT of music on that external.. And he didn't want to have to do that again.. He comes home next Sunday for 2 days, so we will hook it all up and see what happens.
  2. My hubby had (notice past tense!) an apple laptop. He also had an external hard drive that he put all his music on. He used both iTunes and the regular apple programs to upload to the external hard drive. He no longer has an apple. He's actually using MY pc laptop. Is there a way to transfer all that music over to the pc laptop???
  3. I don't get to see Tank very often, but let me share one visit with all of you, that will tell you what kind of person Tank is. About 3 years ago, I ended up in the VA Hospital up by UCLA. I was there for what seemed like forever, but was actually only 10 days. But while I was there, I had a visitor in the person of one Tank. He not only brought me flowers (which made me cry), but he prayed with me. Now a lot of you will say 'yeah, whatever', and that's ok. But Tank put his hand on my shoulder and we prayed. And I will NEVER forget the PRESENCE I felt come over me while we prayed. I knew then I was gonna be ok, and that I would come out of there. No matter what else happens in my life, I know I will always be grateful to AW for introducing me to Tank.
  4. there should NOT be a problem getting a seat upstairs for this game even on game day.
  5. There is the Katella bus.. check www.octa.net for info on that bus-- it's a public bus. There is also the ART bus. This is a trolley that will bring you directly from the convention center to the stadium and also goes to the mall(the outlets at Orange) among other places. ART is short for Anaheim resort transit. That gives you at least 2 options..
  6. There are 2 Ayres Inns.. There is one at Katella and Douglass and one at Chapman and State College.. I don't even think the one at State College and Chapman is 2.5 miles away, and that's the one furthest from the stadium. There is this one, too.. TownePlace Suites Anaheim Maingate Near Angel Stadium 1730 S State College Blvd Anaheim, CA 92806 (714) 939-9700 It's part of the Marriott chain..
  7. I got a comment at an Angels/Dodgers game at Angel Stadium that I never forgot-- a dog fan came up to me and said "bandwagoner".. and I looked at him and gave him a one word answer.. FELON. He walked away and couldn't respond, because I had seen his spiderweb tattoos on his elbows from being in jail..
  8. I spoke to the manager at the Knothole last night, after it took an hour and a half to get a couple burgers, some pretzel bites and a caesar salad.. He says "it's a learning experience" for most of the workers, as they are new to the Legends way of doing things, but will get better.. I have to agree with him, as the stadium has been sold out the last two nights, and there was no way to get the staff any real experience preparing that much food or serving that many people at once during training.. We had the cornbread with the brisket from the BBQ that used to be Clyde Wrights, and it was damn good!! It was COLD, but damn good!!! And I had a applewood bacon grilled cheese with tomato soup and it was awesome, too!!! A little pricey ($5 for SOUP??) but really good!!
  9. I have been reading all about these quakes. I am not used to them, even though I have lived here for 18 years now. To be honest, they scare the crap out of me!! Hubby and I were out to dinner on Friday when the foreshock hit at 8pm, but didn't feel it, or even hear about it. We were on our way home, when I got a text from a friend about the Trout extension. When I got home, I sat down at my computer to read about it, and BAM!!! That 5.1 hit. We live about a mile away from the epicenter of that one. My friend lives closer--right off Gilbert and Rosecrans-- and she lost some of her brick fencing, a flat screen tv fell and broke, her cats ran away, the water heater broke, and she's right at the water main break, so she had no cold water, either. I had a hard time going to sleep Friday night. I would sleep for an hour or so, and then would feel something shake that would wake me up, either real or imagined, so I didn't get much sleep at all. When I was at work at the stadium yesterday, we had one about 9am that I felt, and then the one at 230, we all felt, too!! It was freaky, because the stadium, shook... And we just had another 2.7 which was over really quick, but it rolled here.. maybe lasted 5 or 10 seconds.. As much as I love the Angels and I love the California weather, I can't handle earthquakes. I'm ready to move..
  10. I was in 16 row G when I felt like frying. But most of the day was spent up by the food and picnic tables out by section 22 with some booster members and other AngelsWin peeps..
  11. SUCKER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There goes life as you know it!!! (just teasing, I've been married for 18 years.. ) Congrats!!!
  12. I leave John Wayne Wednesday night after work.. I can't wait!!!!!!!!!
  13. I misread it.. I thought you were also leaving from LAX.. duh me.
  14. My usual route from LAX-home goes 105 EAST, 605 SOUTH, 91 EAST.. and depending on where you're going in Anaheim, maybe the 5 SOUTH.. You won't have any problems on Friday night, but with dropping a car off, and a 7am flight on a weekday?? That's gonna be ONE CRAZY MORNING!! You're looking at a 4am trip from Anaheim to drop off the car and make the airport.. but the good thing is you won't have any traffic at that hour of the morning..
  15. Ok.. my MAJOR phobia (I have more than one) is the dentist. I was good when I was a kid. Didn't LIKE them, but wasn't deathly afraid of them, either. When I went into the army, I had a dentist appt. It was in one of the older buildings on base, and it had NO air conditioning. It had to be like 90 plus degrees, and it was hot and sticky and sweaty. The dentist was drilling to do a filling, and he got sweaty and dropped the drill in my mouth. It drilled a hole in the roof of my mouth. Yes, he finished what he was doing, but since then, I've had to be MAJORLY drugged to even step foot in a dentist office. And I prefer to be under general when he does any work at all-- even a cleaning-- like they do with animals. And I don't like heights since I fell 4 stories once.
  16. I don't drink. I keep getting ads about not driving drunk.. I don't read about alcohol, well, except for Cassy's stuff about Dicks, so I don't know why I keep getting those ads..
  17. I am STILL waiting for the "a la carte" channel thingy I have heard about.. Let me just pay for the channels I WANT to watch.. NO Lakers, NO Doggies, and I could get rid of a LOT of other crap that I don't watch, but have in my 'package' that I HAVE to buy to have FSW and MLB Network..
  18. This blurb was just at the bottom of Alden Gonzalez' latest article and may be of interest to us that are going to Tempe soon.. "Position players -- including Mike Trout -- report for their physical examinations on Tuesday, and could expect a different camp when they take part in their first workout on Wednesday. Unlike last spring, the Angels won't practice on the main fields of the Tempe Diablo Stadium complex. They'll all be in the backfields, taking a lot more swings than usual and emphasizing situational hitting a lot more than before."
  19. Do NOT give a F if someone says it's safe. It's HIGH, and since falling out of a helicopter, I can't do heights. Even watching the video, I was fighting the urge to go throw up..
  20. Not just "No, I will never go on that slide", but "not ever in my life will I EVER even THINK about going on a slide like that!!" I watched the video and started to get nauseous just watching...
  21. I have NEVER been embarrassed to be from Fullerton and Orange County until TONIGHT. I'm gonna go hide now..
