I'm a mess, crying my eyes out tonight.  Did you hear this is Tim McCarver's last game?  I don't know how to live without Timmy's great insight from the broadcast booth.  Nobody knows baseball like Timmy.  I mean, how will I ever know what a fastball looks like again?

 

When will MLB set up their grief support hotline???????

 

I hope the Mexican market down the street has Kleenex because I'm all out...

I respect MCarver for what he's meant to the game over the years.  Yeah, the McCarver of the last few year's wasn't his best, but he's not the last guy to stay on longer than was wise.  When it's been your life's work as a player and broadcaster, it's hard to stop.

I'm glad he's done announcing but I always enjoyed his interviews. He has baseball smarts but he's getting older and can't really project his thoughts and analysis very well from the booth anymore. I wish him nothing but the best.

Joe Buck is really not that bad. 

 

He's not the best announcer, but I think he does a good enough job for the World Series

This is a bit off topic, but I wish Vin Scully would do the World Series.  Even the words, "The Red Sox are the World Series Champions", with Vin's voice, would be amazing.  Fox needs to throw as much money at him as possible, for the greater good of humanity.  Just one Vin Scully World Series before it's too late.  That's all I ask for.

 

EDIT: Wait, does Vin do the radio of the World Series?  If so, then damn.  I can't imagine whoever has the radio rights would let him do the TV broadcast.  Oh, well, next year I'm digging out my clock radio to listen.
