I blame this horrible offense which hasn't been able to score a run in the last FIVE HOURS.

 

Ten hits and five walks since Shuck's leadoff home run, and nothing.

The offense was terrible, but Blanton was terrible too (as usual). I would agree with your "I don't blame Blanton" comment if he pitched 3 innings and gave up one run and took the loss.

Umm, Blanton is helping the future of the franchise by losing games. Even if we signed Greinke or Anibal Sanchez this team wasnt making the playoffs. As such, Blanton's ineffectiveness is helping is land a better Rule 4 2014 draft pick.

Signing Blanton may actually be the best long-term decision Dipoto has ever made for the future of the organization. Oh I'm serious alright.
