Dipoto's more likely to get fired instead of Scioscia

Despite the Albert Pujols' contract being backloaded the team has allegedly been in the red so far in his tenure. Being on billboards doesn't generate revenue. Postseason appearances and World Series titles bring in long-term revenue. This is harder to accomplish with the Albert Pujols' contract sinking this organization.

You make money in MLB by keeping the fans interested. Winning is only one of the ways to do that. And in many markets and for many fanbases it isn't even the main way.

don't be fooled by being in the red.  there are a number of creative ways to make a corporation sustain a loss on paper.

I can't stand Scioscia, yet I still think Dipoto should be the first to go. The guy has been a ****ing disgrace thus far.

It also depends on if signing Hamilton was DiPoto idea or Arte's.  I don't think you can completely judge the Pujols signing at this point in time.  But, one thing is sure that signing him changed the hitting philosophy of the team. It's never been in sync since. Bottom line: replacing 3 starting pitchers and rebuilding a bullpen is not an easy task and obviously DePoto did not sucessfully do that.  Next year he or someone will have the same task.
