Just because our aging overpaid players don't hit doesn't mean David Ortiz is guilty of anything. He's 37, but he's a great hitter. Hank Aaron at age 39 hit .301 / 40hr's / 96rbi's / 1.045ops which make the Pujols and Hamilton deals look even worse.

Ortiz looked as bad as Pujols, and about as bad as Hamilton, a few years ago. Why can't they rebound too? It's too early to judge the whole contract.
