I find all of that very heartening. Yes, Green is no longer young - he's 25 and will be 26 in September. But he's a talented player and his poor defensive stats are largely due to switching around a lot.

He began playing catch again July 9 after taking a month off from throwing. He threw a bullpen session July 23, his first time on the mound in six weeks. As of July 23, Burnett was still at least two weeks away from rejoining the bullpen.
