PARADISE VALLEY, Ariz. – Nothing in the front of Josh Hamilton's new spring training home reveals that the 2010 AL MVP, five-time All-Star and Angels' $125 million slugger actually lives there.

A for-sale sign is staked in the lush lawn of this $4 million, Mediterranean-styled, six-bedroom desert estate. No cars are parked in the semicircular driveway. The custom curtains are drawn, giving the place that uninhabited look that would make trick-or-treaters keep moving up the street.

I was thinking the same thing. I always look forward to reading the articles that have her name as the author.  I like the fact that she seems to seamlessly blend the different dimensions of a player's life (the athletic and personal) without seeming to intrude in their private family life, but at the same time giving fans that added perspective that goes beyond the on-the-field player.
