In defense of katie, I've been to plenty of Angels games when the product on the field was bad.  It has been awhile since the product has been this bad, however.

It's not the job of a beat writer or columnist to be a cheerleader for the team. If the Angels did something to negatively affect the customer experience, it should be written about.
