This might be homerism but if HARPER is in it why not Trout? It's not like Harper is a home run hitting machine. That pick was stupid. 

 

I definitely agree putting out the elite outfielders out there would definitely add some awesome energy. Like perhaps they get to choose who they rob from? Torri for Trout, Trout to Fielder and etc. Now that would be worth watching.

I say no.  He doesn't need to hit HR's in that circus event, he more multi-dimensional than that.  Plus he's not really a slugger in the Prince Fielder, Chris Davis, Mark Trumbo, etc., mold.

Not that it matters but, you do realize that Trout is a #3 hitter batting 2nd because of 2 guys named Pujols and Hamilton don't you?

I don't know how they picked the captains this year, but I'm guessing that Cano and D. Wright are the captains because the AS game is in NY. Cano won the contest in 2011. I think that's why he was chosen as the captain in 2012.
