My assumption is Trout has at least some input with the Rendon signing. 

If that is true, Trout would know last 3 years he needs to have some ownership with his inability to stay healthy and money wasted on Rendon.

That would be great if Trout could stay healthy. Do the Angels need to start treating him like a old man?  Pujols came back after his foot injury to play in over 150 games 4 consecutive years after age 33. Trout has only stolen 17 bases in his last 424 games. and that is over his last 5 seasons. It’s pretty sad what has become of “SI” now. The vast majority of stuff published under the name SI now is just nonsense written by fans.

A Bleacher Report writer is the one who suggested that.  The SI Angels hub is just reposting it.  So you've got a glorified fan site (which is really all SI is these days) reposting one of the worst sites around when it comes to solid takes.

17 year old prospect. Probably legit considering how well he has done. But he would be the starting point to any trade like that, not the only point.

But it's not going to happen. That trade proposal is idiotic and clearly made by a Rangers fan.

I still love Trout and hold out hope that he can conquer the injury bug and have a few great years left. Not necessarily 2012-19 great, but maybe something like 2022 with more games. So I hate the idea of seeing him do something like that on another team.

To do so, they are going to need to have him DH a quarter of all of his starts and play 100-110 games tops in the OF.

Rendon can handle most of the other DH starts (assuming Ohtani’s departure),  if he has his act together, and Rengifo can handle a lot of the 3B starts.
