You don't get into the playoffs (or do well IN the playoffs if you do miraculously make it...) by losing two-thirds of games against good teams, regardless of where the games are played.

Yeah pretty much this. Of course, they need to start actually winning series vs good teams since they'll be facing quite a few of them down the stretch, something they have struggled doing all season long.

Disagreed. They have a top 3 offense and, arguably the best in the AL, if they were healthy. The pitching is mediocre for sure but the offense should be enough to carry them to the playoffs. What does hurt them is divisions though and the Central undeservedly getting one team in.
