I'm not sure what Silseth's and the Angels' strategy is tonight but I'll suggest they consider keeping Acuna off of the bases for this series.

The Braves at this point have nothing to play for. They've proven they're the real deal. They're not the 1995 Angels. They're not going to blow their huge lead in the division. They're going to win the NL East by a wide margin. Sometimes they have crappy series like they did against the A's. Hopefully, the Angels hitting with RISP comes back. The Angels really need to somehow go in there and steal 2 out of these 3 games.

that be ideal to keep us at that 66 percent or higher pace that we need to keep the rest of the year to assure a spot in postseason !!!

Ohtani and Renfroe are the only players in this lineup who were expected to be everyday regular players. Neto is a surprise and would have been the expected starter. So that's three of be nine. Granted, Ward isn't playing. 

Rengifo was supposed to be a super sub. The others are filling in where needed. Subs, prospects or trade acquisitions. 

Seriously, it's become counter productive to be hyper critical anymore. Injuries have destroyed the team. The roster when healthy is certainly as respectable as any of the wild card contenders. 

Yes, there have been disappointments. But most have an injury/recovery factor built in. Who could have expected Walsh to go from a young all star entering his prime to literally be fighting for his health and pretty much out of baseball? The two biggest long term contract players missing big chunks of time? Urshella and Drury going from looking like great rotational pieces to the long term injury list?

The infield had a lot of versatility and now we have to suffer from watching Velazquez try to bunt for a hit every game? And throw in first basemen with little experience at the position. And Cabbage shuffled from first to the outfield without even a shred of major league familiarity. Moniak has been a positive story overall, but with his own difficulties against left handers. 

Such a damned shame we couldn't at least see this team at it's best very much. And if Ohtani leaves we never will know what could have been.
