I might be wrong.  He's at least as good., though.  Turning it around offensively lately.    They are  somewhat similar players...  good approach at the plate, solid defense.    

Not defensively. Calhoun has a GG and a cannon for a throwing arm.

I'm a big Calhoun fan.  Have been since I saw him in San Bernardino.  He wasn't a top prospect, but I was intrigued.    He played hard.  Disciplined.    He was reasonably productive with the Angels. Was his defense really that great though?  Better than Wards, yeah, but how much?Ward isn't bad at all. He doesn't go all out head first, but Nice play today.
