If he was traded to a contender, then I think that would be doing a favor for trout. Dude deserves to play for a winner at some point in his career.

How do you know if he's happy or not? He seems pretty happy with his family living in the OC, only to head back to his house in NJ to hunt and be closed to his loved ones during the offseason.

if ohtani leaves, i think it would make it easier for trout to request a trade and waive his NTC. at some point he's got to be tired of continuing to miss out on the playoffs year after year after year, especially as he gets older and closer to his declining years.
